I love that article. Typifies Sinclair’s way of squeezing every element of functionality out of its designs to bring new kinds of products to the mass market that were hitherto out of reach price wise.

I love the Sinclair calculators. To me they looked beautiful and offered a lot of functionality for a lower price albeit occasionally at the cost of less accuracy.

I got a quarterly allowance of beer and crazy prices of nearly out of date stuff in the staff shop in Burton. Happy days!

I worked for Bass plc in the early to mid 90s in a group finance role and Barcrest was then owned by Bass. Spent a couple of happy weeks in Ashton doing some work there. Very interesting place.
