Just listening to trump describe his ‘master plan’ for a better economy through tariffs and some of the pundits’ reactions. The impact of what he is doing is effectively a national sales tax. Everyone understands what a sales tax is and they (we!) don’t like it!

Once the SSA goes dark I have difficulty believing it can ever be restored, and the 2.6 Trillion it manages will be at risk. What will likely follow within a few months is a nationwide collapse of the housing market due to bankrupcies and foreclosures…that is not a recession.

Does anyone NOT believe the Social Security system is going crash…and soon? Apparently Musk fired most, if not all of the suport staff that maintained the SSA sysems with - 0 - knowledge transfer. I worked in IT for decades and I can say with certainty that this does not happen in the real world.

Charlie Sykes moments ago on Deadline Whitehouse commented that Pete Hegseth suffers from a case of verbal incontinence…gotta love it, but doesn’t that apply to most of these clowns?

It’s my hope that some of you may find value in what follows. While I am not the author of the principles of Secular Humanism that follow, I find they provide me with a framework to evaluate ideas, conditions and events we experience as humans:
