The hole in the head's mouth seems newly 'drilled'. However, it is original. I was told that a straw or reed may have been inserted into it in order to extract 'the word of mouth' as there was no written knowledge passed? Don't know. One more example of this type of head found in Ireland 👍 Thank you

I believe it's called the 'Hen Dy Head' as it was cemented onto the gate post of Fferm Hen Dy Farm for years near Llanfairpwll. Looking forward to the update. Diolch.
