I'm going to be that guy, but I think the biggest difference between more 'authentic' sushi and the sushi that is served at non-Japanese owned/run sushi restaurants in the US is the rice, specifically the vinegar. The Korean and Chinese owned places, don't use enough.

Does anyone else exist in a space in-between full blown atheist and mainline progressive Christian? Like, I do know if I ever want to go to church again, but I also don’t think that all aspects of religion are bad? I guess some people are calling it agnostic humanism, but I’m still not sure.

Many 1st gen Korean American men turned to the church as source of power bc they were powerless immigrants. And now I’m wondering if a lot of 2nd gen KA men become pastors for the same reasons, except they are not immigrants, but insecure about their masculinity.

I see so many videos asking “where should me and my partner live next?”, and it’s always a white couple who wants diversity or a blue state but also makes it seem like they want to live on a farm? Not saying a place with both doesn’t exist but it still seems suspicious.

Naming invasive species after the place it came from makes sense but it also feels kinda xenophobic? Like why does it feel like all the invasive species are named “Asian ____”?
