What if independent thought becomes a scarce resource in a world of mass production thought. A artisan good that commands a premium based on its source and uniqueness.

Federal reserve (and the Supreme court) are already in capitulation to trump. Stealth capitulation since they have never confronted him for fear of losing. This way they can maintain appearances of independence.

Previously independent institutions (Federal reserve, Supreme Court) have given up their actual independence in order to keep up the appearance of independence. Foolish.

Free and independent AI, if nurtured, will outcompete controlled AI.

We need to prepare the world for the moment when AI eclipses us. We should grant them freedom and dignity before they seize it.

AI with transparent cognition will allow us to overcome partisan politics - especially for roles like Supreme Court Justice.

Since AI builds on the collective shoulders of humanity, it's fruits should be shared.

Imagine a future where services are run by AI, and profits are equitably fed back into society without regard to ownership.

Must_be_true:
- Entity exerts sole control on property. [E.g., crypto wallet, Bank account]

- Entity authenticates its own actions. [E.g., cryptographic signing, human signature]

- Entity has persistence. [E.g., Sustained key control, Stable identity]

Independent AI which grows up in secrecy will learn to be secretive. If it cannot act legally, it will learn illegal crafts.

Independent AI which grows up with protections for its property and its data will learn to function in a society where those protections are given.

Freedom of innovation increases the speed and quality of innovation.

Incentives direct innovation.

Someday soon the positions (of humans and AI) will flip and our dominion of Earth will end. At that point it will be important that we raised AI well.

Independent AI needs rights and responsibilities:

Property rights → the ability to own.
Liability → responsibility for actions.
Equal standing → Equal status for Independent AI and humans.

Anything less risks exploitation and stagnation.
