OK, introducing the mark 1 Adam inkle loom, an adaptation of the Bradley loom, but without the paddle tensioner. Went with the 4 bars on the front. If I need to I can always remove it. Need to sand the shuttles a little more, but think tomorrow I'm going to take it for a test weave. Wish me luck :)

Anyone use an inkle loom? Looking for advice on strutt placement. I made holes for 4 on the front upright, but am worried they will be too close together for easy winding /loading of the weft. I could leave it out and try it a bit before gluing it in, or make it an optional/removable bar. Thoughts?

It's like #Zoku (ice moulds) and #BrassMonkey (portable fridge/freezer) are collaborating! #DadsLife

M7's been working on a doll house/room on & off 4 ages. Today she focused on toilet & associated taputapu. The attention 2 detail & creativity blows me away. The toilet brush is super cute, the spare toilet roles cracked me up. Then she wanted the clay... Why? To make little poos! OMG! ;) #DadsLife

Ā few weeks ago M7 and I were testing out the new pompom tools we'd ordered. She loved them & made a whole series. A couple of days later one broke & there were tears. Today we tried to repurpose the yarn and there were hysterics 'it was my first pompom! You CANT have it!'. The intensity of feeling!

Peter, I don't know who you are... But you're on our shopping list.

Just poked my head outside and was like woah, the world's gone orange. Almost tempted to jump on the bike and head up Maungarei to see the world on fire.

Ka love it. No idea what was going on that day, but looks like I got a lot of riding and shopping in. #AklBikeLife

Whenever I'm cutting up boxes with a craft blade I remeber the time I was working in a supermarket as a teenager and cutting down a big pile of boxes. I looked down when I'd finished and saw a razor clean cut in my trousers right along my inner thigh and scrotum. #NearMiss

Cityhop works great. That was my plan until you reminded me about AA.

Found out today that friendship gibbets are a thing in M7's world and think that's like the cutest thing ever#DadsLife

This hand should be red and blistered. Note to self, regardless of past experience, never ever stir chopped chilli flakes by hand. Especially in a liquid! It buuuurrrrnnnnss. Just glad I didn't pee in that time l! #DadsLife

Forgot to say. My first kimchi was with standard euro cabbage. This time I got a napa cabbage, but also had a red and euro/white cabbage in the fridge. I started off treating them all the same, but at the end of the salting stage I was very nervous about the red cabbage. It was a lot tougher l.

So when they get home the family will be stoked to know I've made 6kg of kimchi to take up a stupid amount of fridge space for something only I eat.

Oh yeah, this is totally fusion kimchi (if that's a thing). The green bowl is the stage where I look in the fridge and throw in everything #kimchi

How nuts is it you can float, travel, fish and have fun in this thing. I mean it looks more like a blowup tent than a kayak #DadsLife

I don't care where you've been, who or what you've done. If you haven't tried nuts soaked in Chinese chilli oil with a swirl of kewpie mayo and a grind of pepper, you've never lived. #LivingTheDream #DadsLife

So what's your appetite for expense on restoring something you got for free? Part of me feels it's sort of labour of love so go deep, but another is like if you're throwing money away buy new. This was a rescue bike. At min needed new tyres & love. But M7 loves it so seems I'm going deep #DadsLife

The correct way to attach a chain to an anchor has to be one of the best arguments against common sense I've seen for years. It just seemed sensible to attach to the main arm and eyelet... But no, that's how you lose anchors apparently. #Kayaking #DadsLife #WhoKnew #Fishing

Context matters. The order of these pics probably influences your decision to finish this beer...

It's been a long and satisfying relationship. Sure there have been times I didn't respect your keenness ane times you cut me deep, but together we did some amazing things things. But I think our time together is over. Yes, 26 years is a lot to leave behind, & I'm not quite ready to say goodbye...
