Let’s role play and agree that yes it is all performative. If CA continues to be at the forefront of LGBT+ issues and remains a safe haven. If CA votes to move forward with redistricting in Nov - how is it “performative” when there are tangible results that help the cause?

Isn’t that what Newsom has been at the forefront of? He is quite literally the face of MAGA opposition. I feel like I’m in the twilight zone - you are upset that he holds an opinion in contrast with yours which is fair - but his policy decisions are overwhelmingly in support of the community.

The last 2 days has been an ongoing conversation that Newsom stating the sports issue is “unfair” - while acknowledging the states laws allow for it - has been enough for folks to say if it’s Newsom v Vance in ‘28 they won’t vote. So I’m not really clear on what you’re trying to say.
