Of course I eventually plan to get a second DS when I'm more financially secure, if not for adding Pearl to my shiny hunting games, so I don't feel I have to frantically move everything from bank to home any time my ds flickers a bit.

I'm pretty sure the reason I didn't touch it is the same reason I've been avoiding doing shiny hunts in Pearl since I pulled my DS out of storage, I only have the one DS and therefore have no way to get anything out until I can get a second DS (or a way to do reliable honey tree hunts).
