Admittedly I think they're both by random cishet French guys, but The Vourdalak and Mars Express are both excellent horror and sci-fi films, respectively.

One thing I invested in that makes me actually feel pretty good was about a week to two week's reserve of shelf stable food I keep in a separate pantry - just in case.

As someone married to an ElfQuest super fan, this 100% tracks. ElfQuest was/is a very sexually explicit series at times, but always in a sex-positive way.
