Caught a newborn calf on my nephew's farm to be tagged and banded. Learned that the yellow tag will be used to track the cattle from birth to supermarket. You'll be able to scan a code and find out where your beef was raised and to confirm that it is hormone free.

We have the house that my great, great aunt bought in 1944. As long as I can remember, there has been crocus in the yard to greet Spring. I'm grateful to my ancestors for planting them.

1/2: Following Trump's dictates, the National Park Service (NPS) may be required to eliminate 40% of Parks staff. This means much reduced services including areas closed to the public and reduced hours. Keep in mind that National Parks are renowned as a driving economic force for our economy.
