Chrome grille and round rear lights say early one, but the side rubbing strips say you are right. Post 1971 but pre 1974. Verona Red it looks like, same as mine.

Here in London, it’s always been a “bullseye” when referring to cash. I’m educating my children so this continues for at least another generation 😁

Interior is sooooo familiar. BMW took the E3 (which I have) shortened it for the E12 5 Series and lengthened it for the first 7 Series E23. Lots of mechanical and interior parts, and hub caps, mirrors (I’ve found them OK) etc are shared. Love the orange colour BTW 👍
