After Steve died I had a therapist who was amazing. She recognised how low and exhausted I was and on our first session she said, “I will carry hope for you until you’re ready to carry it for yourself.” She was my torch carrier and my hope holder 💛

Yes, I hesitate before posting things like this as I don’t ever want to patronise people or devalue their challenges. And the thoughts they have are real at the time. But when we take a step back and challenge those thoughts it can be liberating x
