How many senior Civil Servants retire with 'sinecure jobs' on boards to look forward to? 'Earning' 10s of £1,000s a year for attending a few board meetings... Who ensures those 'jobs'? The private sector and profiteers. The NHS needs an overhaul but the CS needs stripping and safeguarding.

I think the big problem is that it is an inherent issue dating back to Civil Service 'cuts' since the 1980s; in which civil servants and civil service departments were 're-designated' to appear "not to be part of the civil service but still answerable to...". As such, the NHS was flooded (cont...)

Hmm.. I'd argue that the government in China didn't need any outside help in "twisting" attitudes against it given their addiction to committing human rights offences. Also, I'd take a bet that even with the recent gammon-surge in the UK, the Chinese community is unlikely to be "targeted".

I would have thought that the "legality" of any firearms in the US will ultimately depend wholly upon the government's financial support from the manufacturers and the NRA lobbyists that have twisted the historical purpose and intent of the 2nd Amendment as much as they twist Bible passages.

Hmmm...it always seems to be "popular" when it benefits him and his ilk... but "populist" when it isn't showing in his favour. Going by his logic in this statement Hillary won in 2016 - has he become so dementia-riddled that he's now campaigning for her retrospectively?

My OH used to listen to ASMR youtubes to get to sleep but since the advert invasion, less and less so. Me, I'll pop on anything from a Goon Show to, oddly enough for the past week, Dirk Gently... Its all in the mind 😉😀
