I don’t think it’s about protecting our information or else they’d be targeting American companies too. I think it’s more about how the CCP could potentially use it without anyone’s knowledge. Moon had a really good video on YouTube about it.

I stopped using Chromebooks when I found out that Google only supports them for 5 years, no matter what hardware it has. Since they don’t make it easy to install another OS, it usually becomes e-waste. I still recommend them to non-techies but I specify to buy new to get the most updates.

So I was about to cancel my Disney+ sub, when I thought, what if everyone did it at the same time? On Inauguration Day, instead of hate watching, we all just post cancellation confirmation pages from all these spineless companies. Facebook, X… it might make a bigger impact. At least visually.
