There was a crowd of nearly 1,000 at Moss Lane to watch a Mid-Cheshire League Cup tie as the Dabbers went down 7-2 to Alty Reserves

The heritage & magic of the FA Cup!
In October 1890, Nantwich defeated a Linfield side containing NINE current and future Irish internationals (including the legendary Sam Torrans) with Ted Hinde making it 5-4 in the last minute!

Storm Darragh permitting, Dabbers striker BYRON HARRISON is in line to make his 100th Nantwich appearance at Wythenshawe Town.
With 33 goals in 99 matches, his strike rate of 1 in 3 is pretty impressive.

50 YEARS AGO TODAY … 30//11/1974
A dismal day for the Dabbers with a disappointing defeat to Marine. The mercurial Rob Hughes netted a consolation in the Cheshire County League at Crosby as Nantwich lost 4-1.

30 YEARS AGO TODAY … 23/11/1994
The Dabbers racked up a 4-2 home win over Bradford (Park Avenue) in the Tennents Floodlit Trophy. Brian Ellershaw, Joey Hunt and Terry McPhillips (2) grabbed the Nantwich goals.

Good luck to Mark Lawton who featured for the Dabbers in the late 80s. After enjoying success at the helm of AFC Alsager, Mark has been appointed Manager of NW Counties League side Foley Meir.
