Queenie Comics - Queenie Might Be Jealous! Part 8 A few days have passed, and Alice has finally approached Queenie. A: Hey, Queenie. Did you have a second to talk about what happened the other day? Q: Of course, Alice. What's on your mind? In the second panel, the camera closes up on Alice, who is speaking to Queenie from a place of concern. A: Queenie. You really hurt me and my trust by not speaking to me about what you were going through. I really want to know why you got so worked up about this? In the third panel, Queenie expresses her side of the situation with illustrated memories. Q: Alice, I had so much fun playing with you when you first got started. We were doing so well that I never realized that you were enjoying the game in a different way. When you stopped coming to the combat scenarios, I started to miss how much we tore things up, together. I saw how much fun you were having and I didn't want to take that from you, but I couldn't help but feel jealous... Then I had this weird dream and I just shut down and let my panic take control, and I ended up projecting all of my insecurities onto you. I'm still really sorry and I regret how I handled everything. In the fourth panel, Alice recalls her side of the story with illustrated memories, too. Queenie. I really wish you had told me all of this sooner. I know you love this game, and maybe I didn't notice how much our time playing meant to you, but I love the game now, too! And maybe I like roleplaying a bit more than the combat stuff. I just saw how excited you got about the game and there's so much to do about it. I wanted to find that excitement for myself- and I did. I really liked doing the combat stuff because I was playing with you... and, yeah. I did fall off there when I started hanging out with the Brain Freeze Gang, but that doesn't mean I wasn't thinking about it! Queenie Comics - Queenie Might Be Jealous! Part 9 The conversation continues, but it seems things have started to cool down now that the air has been cleared in the right way. Alice is speaking to Queenie. A: Next time, if you want me to play sometime with you and it's been a while? Just say something. You literally haven't asked me since I started up with the roleplaying group. Again. How was I supposed to know you were feeling that way? Queenie replies. Q: You're right, Alice. I didn't say anything. I was too caught up in my own self. I'm sorry. In the third panel, Alice considers Queenie's apology. At the top, Alice is sighing in relief. A: Don't be, Queenie. You made a mistake, we talked about it. You obviously feel bad, and I'm over the situation and ready to move on, together. With you. Now, what would you like to have happen? Queenie makes a request to an eagerly listening Alice. Q: Alice, I want to move past this mark, too. Would it be ok with you to set up a day or two where we could get together for combat with our real life friends? Carmen and Dani really miss playing with you, too. Queenie Comics - Queenie Might Be Jealous! Part 10 Now, that the two have made up, Alice wants the two to communicate their next steps. In the first panel, Alice is smiling and replying to Queenie. She also reiterates her point from earlier. A: Aw, yeah... They've been messaging me and I really miss playing with you all, too. I really wish y'all would get into roleplaying, but I get with games like this, not everyone is going to be into the same thing. In the second panel, Queenie appears at the top blushing at Alice's quick wit and callback from earlier. Queenie wants to spend time with Alice and is willing to make a compromise. Q: Maybe not... but since we're setting aside time to do the thing I want to do. Why don't we also set up some time to have me join you and the gang for roleplay? In the third frame, Alice pushes back on Queenie, making sure Queenie is really sure she wants to do this with Alice. A: I mean, I guess that's fine, but I know you don't really like it, and I don't want to force you. In the fourth frame, the camera pans only to Queenie who is bashfully looking at the floor while she fiddles with her hands behind her back. Queenie illustrates a memory of herself as the familiar beaming with a big smile. Q: No, I know. But you're doing the same thing for me and I really miss spending time with you... uh... in game... (stuttering) and real-life these last few days. If you can do that for me, then I can do that for you. Q: ... If you still wanted me as your familiar. Queenie Comics - Queenie Might Be Jealous! Part 11 Queenie and Alice are finally wrapping up their first big fight since moving in together. It looks like they were able to land the allegorical plane safely, after all. In the first panel, Alice bashfully expresses her gratitude for Queenie and her introduction to MoW. A: Oh, Queenie, of course I do! You helped give me the push to go into the tavern and meet people in the first place. I'd be lying if I didn't say I missed you being there with me for the roleplay. I just didn't realize how much our time playing had affected you too. Promise me you'll say something next time! In the second panel, Queenie and Alice approach each other and hold each others hands. Queenie commits to her promise while the two blush at each other. Alice is smiling. Q: I will Alice. I promise. I won't let you down. In the third panel, the two are seeing eye to eye, with a final bead of tear forming in each of their eyes, they make their final confessions to each other. A: I believe you, Queenie, my fair warrior and cute little familiar. I love you. Q: Oh, Alice. I love you, too. In the fourth panel, the two have embraced for a sweet kiss to signal the end of their tense misunderstandings.
