As a kid I’d hear Jimmy Page and think there was no way I could ever play like that. But Ace? Yeah, with a bit of practice I bet I could learn those riffs! He was a goofy guy having the time of his life and he is the sole reason I’ve always had a guitar within reach for nearly 50 years.

What made it slightly interesting is at one point we learned the alarm was caused by someone burning food in their room. Which means the guilty person was silently among us on the sidewalk, knowing they were the one responsible, hoping no one detected their shame.

We're in Portland, too! Had a really fun time two nights ago when the hotel fire alarm went off at midnight and we got to stand outside with 100 other people for an hour.

My blood pressure just spiked.

My wife resisted telling her that we actually have two, down from four.

At which point the fun shifts to the goose. It's all a matter of perspective.
