It makes me wonder about Eastern Ukraine and the devastation I saw there and of course to Gaza.
How long to rebuild these towns and cities? We really are an insane species.

Mostar was absolutely wrecked when i was there and to this day many buildings still bear the scars of war.

Last week I was driving from.Satajevo to Split for the first tine in 30 years. Gave me the chance to visit Mostar and it's famous ottoman bridge as last time I was there it had been blown up by Bosnian Croats and a rope bridge erected in its place!

Not my best fighting but came away with more experience and a bronze medal in the British Karate Championships (Super Veterans)!
If you’d asked me when I came back to karate 18 months ago that that would be possible I’d have laughed!

But we were lucky. We got to go home after delivering the aid. But for the people of Saravejo, that wasn't an option instead they endured the snipers, the shelling (300 shells a day) not to forget the bitter Bosnian winters

It was a dangerous drive though and We were shot at by anti aircraft guns, and mortared.
