I agree with this though, the people that aren’t embarrassed to turn the difficulty down (not that doing that is anything to be embarrassed about) would definitely use it but those whose pride is telling them to blame the game would NOT

Which is like… metroidvanias aren’t the easiest genre ever, and this is specifically like souls like too idk where the thought “this game should be easy. I should be rolling through this.” even came from, if we expected anything like OG HK, it SHOULD be hard? Finding new resources only helps so much

I’ve died because the AI is actually like made to counter me but the hit and hurt boxes are perfect, I’ve never like seen my needle hit anything and the hit not register that just doesn’t happen, the combat is perfect you just have to be good cause it’s so hard to

That’s also why I prefer like more TRUE rogue like games where you just have to learn what it does as you play, and every difficulty is unlocked at the beginning (Risk of Rain 2, for example) you just have to figure it out yourself
