very small slugs and their beautiful/freaky trail art (first photo is in the morning fog, captured quickly on my way out for work; closeups are from the evening when i was trying to confirm that it had in fact been slugs—but actually you can see six or so in the original photo if you zoom wayyyy in)

almost didn’t ask @jeffvandermeer.bsky.social to sign my lil dogeared copy of Annihilation tonight out of fear of seeming like an unhinged crazy person, but since i always sit in the front row at movies (bc i ~am~ an unhinged crazy person) he was only a few feet away, so i did. really grateful.

still figuring out how i want to activate this space. started a class tonight (w/Cal Angus) called ‘exoliterature: insects in fiction’ and my heart and mind are already buzzing (pun intended, sry). we were instructed to keep a writing companion so here’s a cicada shed that will be living on my desk.
