I remember hearing about that speech and wondered how tone deaf it sounded: "Bro, just trust us, bro. We need validation, bro, on the massive #$S investments we've made. Bro, just don't be mean."

Like, what? Make the technology not suck while appealing to consumers and you're golden.

If you're technically inclined, setup a VPN at your home on a raspberry pi. Airplane wifi will have no idea where you're connecting to. You'll be able to connect to any home devices.

Stuck at work, doom scrolling. Also happy I added you here instead of hoping surfaces on imgur.. the constant forward slide in quality on the site is sad.

My old panasonic tough book is running Linux Mint with Xfce for my desktop manager. It's been great to hear about Linux on faster systems. Thanks!

I've been listening to this series and have been enjoying it. My use case for Linux has been largely for raspPis, and old laptops that I can't be bothered to replace because the hardware is still good for it's use case. It's been great to hear a run down of distros.

When you want a Longbow, but don't have the cash for one, you choose the Yeoman.

I've wanted to try out the second variant with MMLs.

When I heard google was adding "AI" results following all the news stories that AI likes to hallucinate I realize that it's not reliable. I avoid it like the plague.

At least it has entertainment value.

I love the old design. Is this in a mod that was released or some personal project?

Maybe they wanted Before and After pictures for some odd, orange-based art project?

Any chance Weird Kids gets another season? I really missed not having a new episode this week.

Its not worth it to fly out for just that. But I love it for everyone who can go.

And I do still like that now, I'm finding myself wishing for more GUI front-ends for certain workflows.

I love hearing about the Switch. My last handheld was the GBA SP, so I'm very behind on the console front. I am more likely to by a Steam deck, but love to keep tabs on Nintendo's offerings.

I've been getting back into Linux slowly by way of my rPis. I have an older one running a PiHole, and a much newer one running Wire guard, and has been recently setup as a Mini-nass so I can get to files on my network from outside. I remember enjoying the fiddly-ness in Linux around 2009 ...

I remember growing up in the 90s, thinking how awesome it'll be to have computers in the future that are instant-speed to accomplish any task. Fast forward to now, and it feels like there are still pinch points where computers stall out, at best, and that it's all the same at worst.

Bah... I missed the Fireside chat. Stupid 0430 work shifts..

I can't tell if this supposed to take lens meaning glasses, or something else. Congrats either way, I guess.

Due to this deal, and incoming price adjustments due to tarrifs, I ordered this box (I finally get a Catapult!), and two others from Aries Games. I figured I'd stock up before prices get too obnoxious.

I'm getting a second Locust and was trying to think of a paint scheme for it. This looks great. HBS' BT game definitely helped ramp up my interest in Battletech enough to get me to attend a local game.
