I've noticed products increasingly avoiding web/deep searches & default using less. It often takes a direct dispute before it forgoes internal data & loads the web search/deeper search to correct/clarify bad responses -clearly they're burying them in UI-now have to find inside menu, + buttons etc

of course this is highly dependent on the prompt goal and assistant. "are you sure" might be net negative for tools that don't have / can't access tool calling or web, but for ones that can/do, it usually launches a tool calling feature or web search which then corrects imprecise and wrong responses

This also demonstrates the consequences of having a single omnipotent entity indexing and ranking what does and what does not exist on the searchable internet and they are instantly outgunned by ambient, next-level adversarial info tech.
