As are cyclist etc. I am not sure what is wrong about enabling safety-rules and thinking about safety concerns in all directions? for everybody?

I've never had a car (conscious decision) except in the US when there was no way around it. I am a bike-commuter since 25 years. In big cities including Berlin and Munich. I am not saying cars are not dangerous. I am just saying e-scooters can also be dangerous.

Both is not safe. Both is dangerous. Both is stupid. And I am as frightened of a car or bus passing by too close on the street as I am of a scooter parked in a corner where I don't see it and have an accident.

I myself have had an accident with additional costs on my side and long-term implications. E-scooters, yes, please, if combined with fixed parking locations or a hefty fee if parked randomly.

If they are dangerously and randomly thrown around bike trails, side walks, dangerous curves with a lot of bike and pedestrian traffic, and so on... yes. I also don't park my bike in a way that the sidewalk is no longer accessible for e.g,
Wheelchairs, strollers. They are literally everywhere.

While I was living in the US I needed to have a car. The first and only time. Cycling would have been suicide precisely because of the cars shown here. I love cycling as my ideal-standard transportation and I just enjoy how safe it is here.

In my early career stages I was thinking about becoming an engineer to fix large medical Equipment. The comments from the ones already doing this: the Equipment is too heavy, nothing for women. Me when working as an x-ray-tech: Lifting unconscious heavy patients from the bed onto the table🤷‍♀️

Just looking at the ROI and the impact it has on the communities affected is stunning.😥 From a systems perspective the task of leadership is to ensure the survivability of a system and to keep it alive.
