I remember feeling his rejection so deeply and personally. “How could people be so mean?”, were my thoughts. Jimmy Carter was our President Mr. Rogers, or the kindest dad you ever met.

It’s so magnificent to hear the emotions I felt as a third-grader were felt by other kids. A simultaneous, collective reaction of barely-cognizant babes knowing cellularly good from bad, friend from foe. Our “feelings” were truth.

Gah. The media presenting his death as a murder but not the people who were murdered by his company’s business model. I would love to be a fly on the wall at one of those things. Do they gloss over the suffering and death, while they celebrate their riches, or are they callously honest about it?
