Got kicked off of twitter for whatever the fuck "inauthentic activity" is and the appeals process is fake, so now I am here. I paint. I also 3d model and texture sometimes. Probably won't post too often, I work very slowly and alas this pays no bills.

Finally finished assembling, sanding, and painting this bad boy. It took some trial and error, but I'm relatively happy with how it turned out for being my first mini-painting style endeavor. #Doom#Doom3#3dPrint

Feels good in the hand. Not making Doom 3 action figures was a huge missed opportunity. So many good designs in that game.

A while back I did did my best to as faithfully as possible remaster the model for the Doom 3 Hell Knight. I'm sure it has nothing on Kenneth Scott's original sculpt, but It's one of my absolute favorite creature designs ever and I really wanted a modernized version. (1/2) #DOOM #DOOM3

A good deal of time was spent hand tuning the individual edge crease values on the underlying multi-res'd base model to get a hi-poly starting point that preserved the character of the silhouette without being too angular. I upscaled the original normal maps and converted them to displacement maps to serve as a loose guide for the features, then hand sculpted over all the details (referencing the in game model and promotional art) until they popped appropriately.
