an outpouring of collective energy, something to reflect on.

A time of 'moral conviction', which quickly passed and now seems little more than a faded memory to those old enough to remember it.
I wonder if we'll see its like again?

I'm with you on that.
the trouble is there's a small mountain of stuff to go through - these days I feel like a small snail with a very heavy shell.

yes & disengaging in many ways. However culture,being fluid, is throwing up (literally and metaphorically) new forms of expression at a pace, which makes for an interesting time.
Meanwhile, carry on being oneself & stay sane.

I've lived in this valley for half my life now and have a love of the area, now a sheep farm and wasteland but once an industrial hive. something poetic but also representative of the greater economic and social change during my 70 odd years.
