RIP Twitter, you won't be missed (actually scratch that, vtubing is twitter-centric, I really miss it) (scratch that again, they coming now)
You probably will need to do USB passthrough, which is very finicky in my experience

Using the existing partition should be very doable using virt-manager, but it's probably a pain to set up properly

O primeiro compilador Rust era escrito em OCaml, antes de ser reescrito em Rust

If you setup a Windows VM correctly, you probably can.

I have a friend that uses Proxmox and he plays games with EAC on a VM.

And you can also define custom compilation targets for more obscure archs/vendors/systems/abis, as long as llvm can compile to that target

I'd say false, just because you can use rustup to install a gigantic number of tool chains and, as long as you have the other cross compilation tools installed (linkers for instance), they just work.

I usually just use cargo-binstall instead of building from source

The nala-rs rewrite is already usable as daily driver, although it has not reached feature parity with the python version
May 6, 2025 at 1:05 AM
Nala is currently written in python. The motivation behind the rewrite is that we are limited by some annoying quirks in the apt_pkg python library.

With this in mind, Volitank, the main dev, was able to write rust bindings of the libapt-pkg C++ library, the rust-apt crate.

(and I'm saying this as one of the guys helping with the rewrite lmao)

The first stage is trying out desktop environments (the graphical interfaces) until you find one that you like.

Then, what follows is trying things out, and don't be afraid to break your system, it's always an opportunity to learn

Embrace it, it's fun :3

(it has been my hyperfixation for over 7 years now, please send help)

(also, wine stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator, since it translates the Windows system calls, it does not emulate the OS)

Proton has DXVK, a DirectX to Vulkan translation layer, and the graphics stack now tends to perform on-par or better than on Windows

Só sei do Trinity DE, que é um fork do KDE 3.5, criado depois que o KDE 4 lançou. Tbm têem uns forks do kwin, o compositor.

Mas a diferença mesmo é que os devs do GNOME são muito rígidos com o que eles querem, enquanto o pessoal do KDE aceita mais ideias novas, aí tem menos razão pra fazer um fork.

I prefer using wprs over waypipe for that, it allows disconnecting and reconnecting to the remote without killing the applications.
It's like xpra but for Wayland.

Nah, every `unsafe` must have a reason behind it, and it was properly documented there
