It’s that time of year when I make new minis for my Halloween dioramas. I made a hobby horse for my creepy nursery/ puppet room and I’m working on some other toys. (Fans of Grady Hendrix might recognize the hand puppet!) #miniatures #roombox #Halloween #Horror

The Secret Movie at my theater tonight was Sketch! I had a smile on my face the whole time (except when I was crying 😭). This movie has so much heart (along with some awesome horror elements). I loved it! #Sketchmovie

I tore through Cold Eternity by S. A. Barnes yesterday and it was so creepy and good. She is one of my auto-buy authors for space horror. My son loves her books too. #booksky #horror

Current read! Crossroads by Laurel Hightower. As a mom of boys around the same age as Trey this one is hitting me hard. 🖤 #booksky #horrorbook

Current read! Mouse Trap by Caryn Larrinaga. It’s got a haunted house, a messy but loving family working through grief, and some fun nostalgic vibes. I’m really loving it so far! #booksky #horrorbook

The secret movie at our theater turned out to be Bring Her Back! Ahhhh! This was one of my most anticipated horror movies of the year and I absolutely loved it 🖤 the performances were incredible. #bringherback #horror #A24

It’s #womeninhorrormonth and I loved these books by S. A. Barnes, @tanyapell.bsky.social, and @jennykiefer.com I also have to mention BODIES FULL OF BURNING, edited by @nicolemwolverton.bsky.social This anthology is amazing and I’m so proud to have a story included #WiHM

I read my first Grady Hendrix book last year so I’m very late to the party, but now I get to binge all his books. Horrorstör was so fun and there were scenes involving certain pieces of furniture that legitimately made me feel claustrophobic! #booksky #horrorbook

Today’s read! Dead Silence by S. A. Barnes was one of my favorite books last year and I’m really enjoying this one so far! #booksky #horrorbook

Just finished This Wretched Valley by Jenny Kiefer. Weird and twisty with lots of gooey gore. Loved this: “The wet came from beneath. The earth was nearly full, but it still salivated.” As a beginner climber i loved the climbing references. It was a lot of fun! #booksky #horrorbook

There are lines in Whalefall by Daniel Kraus that I went back and read again because they were so inventive. The underwater descriptions, the survival story, the complicated father-son relationship. Beaky! I loved this book!

Daddy’s Head (on Shudder) was better than I expected. There are some genuinely creepy scenes (the “playhouse” in the woods!). I enjoyed the story and characters, and the ending was good.
