This storm has shifted a bit overnight. Hoping for ALL SNOW and NO ICE for all of us.

Also say a prayer for our line men and women who will be out there in the snow and cold getting power back on if necessary.

NWS just issued their first ever blizzard warning for parts of TX and LA. That is a "wow" moment for me. This storm means business. Mark's brother who lives in the FL panhandle will be out all night keeping his citrus trees safe as it is headed his way as well.

The bulk and heaviest snows will be at the coast with the Coastal Plain getting 2-4" of snow. Myrtle Beach and farther south along the coastline are also in the 2-4" snow band.

This morning, things have changed slightly. The Sandhills, including Raleigh and Wake Co are in the <1" band with Clayton and Johnston Co are in the 1-2" band. The Sandhills are also in the 1-2" band as well.

Last night on the 6pm newscast, ABC11 in Raleigh's forecast for the RDU area was in the <1" range with Raleigh and Wake Co not getting very much snow. Where we are in Clayton we would be getting a bit more but still <1". Outer Banks and along the coast could get up to 6" of snow.

Currently it is 19 degrees at RDU Airport with single digit wind chills. Our average winter low temps are usually in the 30's with highs in the 50s. Today's high is supposed to be near 32 degrees. Quite chilly for us.
