While most people identify 12 Steps with Alcoholics Anonymous, in fact there are many forms of addiction. For each the steps remain the same. Personally, I now feel powerless, and so the symbolism of J.M. William Turner's "Snow Storm Steam-Boat off a Harbour's Mouth" speaks to my feelings best.

Storytelling by Symbols. We can be easily deceived by words, so we must seek the truth in symbols. These speak directly to the soul. Thank you Kikan Massara for your wonderful book, "The 12 Steps", which is a raft on the treacherous waters of our time.
