Rudolph carries Santa’s ass. Talk about the system all you want but when a blizzard hits, Santa’s comes begging Rudolph to guide his sleigh tonight.

Debt payments are not part of the CPI as well so not accounted for in real wages.

I’d have to check your source, but I’m assuming it uses CPI for inflation. This does not include home purchase prices, property taxes, and mortgage interest which would explain why real wage growth doesn’t reflect affordability of buying a house specifically.

In this case, I think your simple explanation is wrong. Housing, education, and health costs are basic needs that are unavoidable. The percentage of people’s income paying for those needs and debt has increased. This would explain why purchasing power hasn’t increased.

The ACA helped stave off inflation if medical costs for a while though there was a lot of ground to make up there.
December 4, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Housing, medical services and education inflation has outpaced general inflation since 1980 so that partly fuels it. This has led to people carrying more debt which isn’t captured by real wages.

There’s a racist white flight component to it too that melds the personal preference with policy.

I generally agree with you that social media has broken our brains in terms of hyperactive reactionary attacks, I don’t think it caused muddying the fact/value split. I also think people are suspicious of systemic bias causing repeating certain facts over others in service of specific ideologies.

Others likely would not prefer driving.
November 19, 2025 at 2:50 PM
It is that simple. The MSM companies are owned by billionaires that only care about deregulation and tax cuts. Billionaires also don’t want a media that will report on their excesses. They also don’t want Dem blowouts because it will lead to harsher policies for them.

Yeah it’s always disappointing when you look over and it’s just another god damned leaf. Where are my tiny demons?

The set aside is a big deal though because she’s selectively targeting TikTok specifically because of her subjective views on Israel. It’s not a good faith effort to reign in corporate and state censorship via algorithm.

When you think about it, isn’t all human intelligence, “artificial”? In fact, you could say we’ve all been using AIs since humans existed! Now give me billions of dollars to do AI.

Second thing is do some research and find out there’s likely thousands of people protesting x, y, z.

“Skirt traditional lawmaking.” Breaking the law, criminal activity, all sorts of more accurate and clear language should be used.
