What a thrill this was.
A longer view of the same setting as previous, looking from a high deck across to other homes and a pink aurora in the distance. I almost missed it, but came out a 3rd time to check.

A bright pink sky is visible above the roofs of houses, and bare deciduous trees. I have only seen the aurora once, and from an airplane. Wow.

The "Thinker on a Rock" is a sculpture by Barry Flanagan and resides in the National Gallery of Art's Sculpture Garden. ( This was from 2011 and is probably not my last picture but one I could find.)

Thought I'd show you this out in the wild... not an atty, but loved the mug regardless. It always goes on our hiking 'picnics.' This one was in Flat Rock, NC outside of Asheville.
A picnic table is holding a Stanley thermos, a plum and breakfast cookie (on a white and blue dish towel serving as a placemat) and a beautiful black mug with a green interior, and the hashtag "#AppellateTwitter" that this long-time lurker got years ago.

My favorite day, @marthawells.com because we allow ourselves one new #Murderbot tonight, along with re-watching however many of the previous we can handle. (Keep having to re-watch the crab scene.)

So enjoying the series, I really hope we get many more seasons.
A small stuffed crab emblazoned with the Maryland state flag design on his shell, but with red fuzzy claws is facing off against his doppleganger made from dark chocolate. They are both sitting on a folded papertowel. I suspect you can predict which one is still with us (and who is demanding "the crustaceans" scene every time we watch Murderbot.)

Screencap from PurpleAir shows a diagonal of smoke-filled air from Alberta down to Florida. For those sensitive, even the 100-like readings around Asheville can be a problem. Readings in the 600s in areas of Canada must be very dangerous.

Not a tiny garden, but a large, purple rhododendron blossom. I have many days were critters and flowers make a difference, and I hope this one helps.
A group of very azalea-like blossoms clumped together to make a pretty purple rhododendron flower, with its waxy green leaves in the background. A couple of the blossoms seem to have orangey leopard spots near the throat, just for a jazz of more color.
