For something like FF14 dungeon tanking where there’s only one difficulty I instead say “o/ hey haven’t played in a bit gonna start out slow” and pull one pack at a time until I realize I’m taking like no damage and then start double pulling when I remember what my cooldowns are

I have the same mind goblin. My strategy to overcome it is to play on the babiest difficulty when rejoining because I’m Allowed to suck at that difficulty. That’s where Little Brothers are allowed. After like an hour I realize that I remember more than I thought and can turn the difficulty back up.

What if you spend so much time 100 percenting game A that you don’t have time to even start game B, which would have been even better than the best of game A. I say I’ll play a game only once but leave the option to take it back and play again 100 percent afterwards if it was THAT promising

I recommend co op card games like Arkham Horror or Marvel Champions because that’s not something you have to worry about (and the cards aren’t random, you know what you’re buying).
They’re on tabletop simulator but don’t have official digital versions unfortunately.
