The worst part of being a skeptic is that we can both be wrong.
Careful with the zipper, even in a dream.

I'm an Electrician with IBEW 46. These are jobs that we need badly. Over 800 members are on our out of work list.

Trump has been cratering our economy since he took office. This administration is bent on being as dysfunctional as possible. We have nothing to lose.

Do. Not. Yield.

If it isn't a gov't for the people, then it shouldn't be ongoing. Keep it locked down for as long as necessary

This moment is the most powerful for Congressional Democrats until midterms. Leverage it ALL THE WAY.

Honestly, isn't everyone tolerating you for your cat's sake?

Seriously, if Dickens wrote some of these characters, he would be accused of being over the top.

Aphids, the battle that never ends. My partner has spent years cultivating predators for the little wretches.

Fighting capitalism or a queen-less borg, as a villain, certainly has appeal. I just would estimate that appeal to be less attractive to the broader audience. At some point, you'll end up teaching philosophy to the audience.

The queen put more mileage on the borg, in my opinion.

And VOY was 🔥

I never thought of the Queen as a problem. I just figured it was an expression of the collective that would serve as a focus for our antagonism.

The borg might as well be capitalism. An overwhelming force that extracts value without consideration for the individual. Makes for a poor villain.

I feel the same about certain current events where death is celebrated as if that was the same thing as accountability.

Humans have a knack for tolerating cognitive dissonance.

We are also mean by reflex these days 🥲

Yaaaay! I shared a few moments of your adventures while amusing Samwise, so I'm a bit invested in the party. So happy you got a big happy ending!

I'm trying to respond to you in good faith. Please don't be dishonest now.

It might be worth mentioning that EV infrastructure is relatively novel and a lot of it is half-assed. This training is specifically designed to prepare an electrician to do quality work that will operate safely and reliably.

Better installation will prevent breakdowns. Does that appeal to you?
June 18, 2025 at 5:49 AM
I'm sorry, but you need 8000 hours of electrical experience plus graduation from an apprenticeship program just to be eligible for the Washington State 01 Electrical Exam.

If the training "makes repair illegal", then what does years of being an electrical trainee do?

Why are we doing this? 🤦
June 18, 2025 at 5:33 AM
The training required is one that you only qualify for if you are a journey level electrician. This training is for work performed by an electrician. There are maintenance tasks, such as plugging something in, that can be performed by non-electricians.

What does line 9 say?
June 17, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Nobody said anything about making repair illegal. Here is the bill if you would like to learn more.

The affordable housing business shouldn't be profitable. Everyone should be housed if they want to be.

No tears for landlords.

I haven't gone deep into it, but a brief look gives me the impression that 1/5 ev chargers in the wild are non functioning. If true, that is a big deal.

I don't know *why* they are busted. Maybe worth a look?
June 17, 2025 at 4:44 PM
100%

I clicked in to be a little permissive of normal folks talking their way out of getting curb stomped. But you covered it better than I could.

If you are reporting on police brutality, not great to excuse it in the same breath as "you are lying, we have video evidence".
June 15, 2025 at 8:29 PM
*Nods in electrician*

Related: WA just passed a bill requiring a training standard for installing public EV charging. I'll probably get that training in the next few months. I'm still unclear what is in the training, exactly, but I'm expecting a lot of load calcs.

If you want, I'll report back.

Probably had something to do with the legislature failing to check executive power.

She wants to stay competitive in the AI sector. How do you see an economic take and get xenophobia?
June 12, 2025 at 6:50 PM
WA is ready. Fascists get to play the villains all they like. The Western States stand united in our conviction.

Refugees are welcome, racists are not.
