Mass car use is geometrically incompatible with great cities. Transit & bikes are the future. Tech things sometimes.
If you can make it past 4 minutes, you are listening to the entire set. By 7 minutes it's impossible to do anything but keep breathing.

Vision zero projects worked great...when projects were allowed to happen. The problem was the lack of action, or that action was too watered down.

That's no comfort to current owners, and I hope Rad continues for their sake. But I can't recommend them to new buyers.

There was never any suggestion that you killed and skinned a Breda and had it fashioned into a suit. Now, if you're admitting to something... 😛

I support raising the threshold on the Board of Supervisors to a majority of supermajority, and forcing the mayor to seek a BoS vote. This will do far more to remove measures that could have otherwise been passed directly.

Who will remain? The need for far more signatures will not stop the initiatives backed by either the wealthy or well funded unions. Raising the threshold doesn't fix the problem that we fail to legislate in San Francisco, it just tilts the playing field more.

There will be no path for grassroot initiatives if the signature bar is significantly higher, with financial realities and achievable volunteer signature velocity quickly becoming blockers. A 4% threshold is reachable for a well planned campaign. 6%+ will shut down almost all volunteer campaigns.

For five years, Hayes Promenade has been a vibrant safe space on Fridays and weekends. Children play safely, neighbors and visitors gather, dance, and shop, artists and musicians perform. It's a model for what city streets can be: safe, vibrant, and people-centered.
