After the disappointment of Middlesbrough’s performance today I needed comfort food. A Vineleaf Taverna (my local) mixed meze fits the bill perfectly.

When we eat out, 9/10 times I’ll eat Greek/Cypriot dishes such as Stifado, Mousaka, Keftedes, Tsipoura, etc but just occasionally I feel the need for good old English fish’n’chips. Fortunately our good friend Athos does the best (but I’m still trying to teach him about mushy peas).

Juicing pomegranates is an incredibly messy job but someone has to do it. Totally worth it for the Pomegranate Molasses I’ll make from it though
