The bald cypress tree's extensive root systems and adaptability make them excellent for wetland restoration. They also help improve water quality by filtering pollutants and stabilizing soil.

The first bald cypress tree seedling has emerged. Bald cypress trees are the wide-based, spanish moss-covered pines seen growning out of water in the south. This seedling is a 2nd generation tree from much farther north in New Jersey.
Even today's Florida freeze won't kill this rugged tree.
