This has stumped me. If I had sons today I would be worried, not at all sure how to raise them. So many good parents are raising such toxic young men. My daughters' and their peers and the young men who have worked for me gave me so much hope for equal, happier, relationships. It's heart breaking.

I am LOVING that it's the Pope who is most effective at calling it out. I was raised Lutheran, raised my daughters Presbyterian, married a Jewish man and work for a Unitarian Church at the moment. I've been critical of the Catholic Church. But they are Rockin the Free World right now.

I took my girls to see Obama when he ran, then to a watch party on election night, when they were little. That's the world they grew up in. It's so painful watching them see the best in humans, and now the worst.

I love Michelle Norris! I raised my daughters in public schools in Seattle. Years ago I mentioned that my boss was sexist - they said sexism doesn't exist anymore (I know). To watch them go into the world with so much optimism, and to watch so much cruelty and inequity - it's heartbreaking.

It's the most disgusting, dangerous, immoral...what is happening? All of the suffering, all over the world. All leading to more terrorists and more refugees. More death, more pain, more trauma. I simply do not understand how so many people lack compassion. I feel something beyond grief and anger.
