I took this picture on my block the other day. I love this little cardboard corner protector, just hanging out alone on this bench, waiting for another corner that needs to be protected.

These are from “03.06.05 : Packing the Body, Packaging the Self,” a series of 14 cast boxes with packing peanuts.

Materials include porcelain, iron, beeswax, and carbon steel. The full installation is shown in the third photo.

Materials include urethane foam, stainless steel, silk, wool felt, urethane rubber, lard, and iron.

They are about 4 inches wide and the peanuts are cast from manufactured originals. Materials include blackened iron, glass, cotton, urethane rubber, stainless steel, and lard.

Yesterday, I moved my storage. It was not fun, but I got to briefly visit some of my porcelain "drawings" from 2018. These are a recto and verso pair, press molded in plaster molds of one-inch round air pillow packaging.

So long, Manhattan Mini Storage, which sadly sold out a few years ago.

Safe Place : foam tubes

I found these foam tubes in a big bag on Second Avenue in 2021. They were probably used to protect furniture legs because they were folded over at one end and taped. I opened them back up and stacked them in the window at my studio.

Hi! I picked the thing in the first picture up off the sidewalk in NYC and turned it into the things in the second and third pictures by picking away all the extra bead foam to leave only a single layer.
