Just found out that one of my closest friends had a PhD offer rescinded because the NIH grant funding the program was cut. He’s considering Europe, as are a lot of researchers and scientists. Our research sector was the envy of the world. We’ll never recover. No hell hot enough

Why do publishers revise text in reprints? I'm currently reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my bonus child, and there are small differences. One version says dollars, the other pence, or wonderful/spectacular, things like that. Just curious, and a little annoyed. #books
