like many governmental agencies, they are far from perfect, but without their standards and enforcement so many more workers would be exposed to workplace hazards that could lead to injury and death.

abolishing OSHA would be extremely detrimental to workers in almost every single industry. OSHA is why employers are required to provide training and Personal Protective Equipment and who employees can submit complaints to when working in unsafe environments.
