Is Ukraine better than Russia? Yes - but that does not make them good. Esp. if they are starting to use such weapons known to be war crimes

All of this is largely what happens when you break up a country that was living in relative harmony under the late USSR, where ethnic groups had been moved around (sometimes by force by Stalin's frankly stupid ideas) and therefore at 1991 the SSR borders didn't match up with where people lived

The fact that the US war machine has now decided to send Ukraine cluster bombs - the same war crime that they screamed at russia for using - should show there is not a good side in this conflict

could the holodomor have been avoided? Yes - Stalin was an idiot when it came to collectivisation however the holodomor was not targeted at Ukrainians and was just part of the greater soviet famine that killed lots of Russians as well
