My neighbors created an Action Committee and sued to get the number of affordable housing units reduced in a proposed development. The NIMBY-ism in CA is off the charts.

Major employers in SLO county are the prisons and PG&E. These are the GOOD jobs everyone wants. Otherwise you’re making minimum wage working for retired people and tourists.

NIMBY-ism is off the charts in CA. Nothing is built without an extended costly fight including homes, battery storage facilities and offshore wind.
