for my pseudohistory class, I am debunking "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" aka the book that inspired The Da Vinci Code. they are now invoking the Protocols of the Elders of Zion and I am losing my god damn mind
![Notes on how "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" invokes the Protocols while simultaneously stating they are a forgery, yet it is far too strange that there are non-Judaic references. Transcription as follows,
The authors believe that one of the most compelling pieces of evidence for the existence of the Priory [of Sion] is The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (Sion)
They DO acknowledge it is an anti-Semitic forgery; derived from satirical writings of Maurice Joly c.1864; Joly was a friend of Victor Hugo, Grandmaster of the Priory of Sion!!
pgs 221-2: "Modern scholars have dismissed [The Protocols] as a total forgery, a wholly spurious document concocted by anti-Semitic interests intent on discrediting Judaism. And yet the Protocols themselves argue against such a conclusion."
