I tried a new recipe for cherry pie this year and it was "just okay" for most, but one of my sister-in-laws finished every elses slices and took all the leftovers home.
I'm probably only going to make this for her birthday in the future since no one else liked it, but damn girl. I love this for you

We're doing Thanksgiving tomorrow instead of Thursday and I am in charge of stuffing and desserts. Stuffing is done and I'm two out of three pies down; just gotta do one more and then I'm done!

I found a newborn baby kitten today and waited to see if mama would come back, but no dice.
Luckily, my aunt knew someone with a stray that had babies, and this mama apparently took one look at the baby and stated yelling like someone stole it from her in the first place, lol. A successful foster!

I had plans to get at least half of the October fics done in August, and then my job kind of imploded and 99% of my free time was gone and will continue to be gone for the foreseeable future. So out of the 15 planned, I've got 3 done. Better than nothing, but annoying as fuuuuuuck

I got to see my favorite animal in the world this weekend and then also got to see some more of my other top animals and it was fantastic! I am exhausted though, but it's a good type of exhausted, so it's all good!

I found out if I'd gotten a membership to my local aza zoo, I could have gotten 50% tickets to every other zoo I've visited this year.
At least I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas this year, lol

I'm late on the uptake, but I started a sourdough starter today, so I guess I'll see how that goes....I just want some tasty bread 😭

I figure, if I start my October fics now, maybe I'll have at least some semblance of the 31 needed to fill a month done by the time it gets here, and I've completed 1 and a quarter-ish today alone, so that's exciting for me.

It's so weird because my entire life I have been a 100% multi-shipper, no ship is bad, I'll read anything. But I've finally found a ship I don't like and while I'm never gonna say anything to anyone who enjoys it, I keep seeing it on my feed and weeping quietly to myself about it

I finished Dungeon Crawler Carl today and hot damn what a good book! I'm excited to read the rest of the series, but I'll probably space them out so I don't get done too fast; gotta save what I know will be real winners to read after possible bad books, lol

It is done! I finally finished the baby quilt for my friend's shower, and just in time for the party next Saturday. It bled a little and I had to do some stain treatment, but we got there in the end! I'm excited for her to have it, but mostly to never look at it again, lol

I am so close to finishing my friend's baby quilt! I've got another 2 or 3 days of quilting left, and then trimming and binding, but then it's done! Or, at least a million washes away from done. (I'm hoping it doesn't bleed like her wedding quilt did. Took AGES to fix that, uggg)

So my job switched to a worse (and more expensive!) health/dental insurance provider for this year. It doesn't cover most dentists in our area and I just got a letter from my doctor network telling me they won't be in-network anymore :)))))))))
