Good luck - I hope things work out for you!

I mean, it might depend on the reason they're waiting outside the door. But by now, I just don't trust Jai's reasons

- your arrangement of words, and when you carried on, I started thinking that maybe I hadn't truly misunderstood you like I thought.

I said it's coming off as if you said so - that's why in my og comment, I said your words are easy to misinterpret. Also, it's still an issue if a fully african world was downsized to a neighbourhood - not sure why you think it isn't. And I agree we don't know, which is why I originally pointed to -

Yes, they decided to finally grant us a neighbourhood. Woo-hoo... They're going to do what they're going to do, but there should have been an entire world based on something African. Once again, I'm disappointed
January 12, 2026 at 8:56 PM
?? Again, this is coming off as you saying that you're glad they scrapped an African world because you, personally, are not into it. And if you don't understand what's wrong with that, I don't think I have much more to say to you
January 12, 2026 at 8:52 PM
...I'm starting to think my misinterpretation wasn't one after all. Most sims 4 worlds have snow. Saying you can see why they scrapped the african world idea because of a personal opinion you hold is not it. At all. And it shouldn't be it for ea/maxis/the sims 4 team as well
January 12, 2026 at 4:53 PM
And it does snow in some parts of Africa, just in case you weren't aware. Rare, but it does
January 12, 2026 at 4:33 PM
Your arrangement of words is easy to misinterpret. I had to re-read your post several times to be sure of where you were coming from, even then, it's still bemusing. You can see why they chickened out of an african-themed world because you don't like the tropics? That's how it read the first time

I'd like to smack some sense into these two
December 16, 2025 at 12:22 AM
Stahp talking in circles, dammit!

The game's not perfect, nor did they ever claim to be, but to accuse them of scamming and milking people for money (on very little evidence) is too far. It's not the first game to be funded on donations. It won't be the last. Not the first game to be delayed, either. And this is getting us nowhere

This is also my last reply, because it's fairly obvious that you don't want to do the little research it takes to at least not spread misinformation. And I don't have the energy to keep on with someone that won't even meet me halfway
November 23, 2025 at 10:37 PM
I have never defended a game in my entire life, yet here I am typing essays because there seems to be a lot of bad-faith interpretations and misinformation and impatience. We've waited longer for bigger games. Heck, I've waited longer for small, text-based ones. Paralives isn't the exception
November 22, 2025 at 11:19 PM
do you keep comparing this to games that came out in full, and not even acknowledge that base games don't have much to do at first launch? It's not as if the game won't keep improving. It's not as if it's full release. I truly do not understand why there's such a fuss
November 22, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Y'all, what are we even doing? How did we go from waffle antics to arguing over a game that isn't even out yet? Why are some of you so hard on a game that is still in development - especially after the team addressed the things you keep bringing up? What does barebones mean to you? And why -
November 22, 2025 at 11:09 PM
No, you would compare it to early access sims 1 - which also wouldn't have a lot of gameplay. Not to mention most life/life-adjacent sim games mostly use repetitive basic gameplay...
