That or an Electron would have been my ideal machine, for the same reason. In the end, I got a Commodore Plus/4 which I think is second only to the BBC/Electron among 8-bits for a budding programmer.

My problem with the original speccy keyboard wasn't the feel, it was the lack of separate keys for cursors, delete, and the like. So these keyboards didn't appeal to me. I did eventually get a Saga 3 Elite, which had proper keys *and* auto-shifted cursors and other control keys.

That palette of yours is gorgeous, I've often wondered what could be done with it. It also has some colour mixing I hadn't noticed, like the gorgeous pearly grey in the throne room. Demon Stalkers used this palette, and I used it for a swamp mockup of a game I'm not going to make.
