Tons of erudite academics supported (& many still support) these actions.
Whereas I know many people who think all sorts of dumb things but have empathy for people who are being harmed.

It just feels like a pointless half-post without your reason.

I have far less of a problem with that than with people who believe *harmful* stuff.

But it discourages (to some degree) close friendships with outsiders & it tends to make us wet blankets.

Could be a "nearest neighbor" method of smoothing to avoid squares/pixels which humans quickly identify as a lack of resolution.
