That would be the best case scenario. But I think the real take away is to teach our neighbor about civic literacy.

Isn't that counterintuitive to who's funding their efforts?

I think the people have spoken. The candidate that reflects their sentiment should be the choice, no exception.

A little more proof that Taiwan's system of including the public in lawmakers might be the right direction for U.S. politicians to pass the bits and pieces they want to make policy.

@npr.org how is a 9k sample size indicative of your predicted outcome in this article? I'd like better sourcing for claims that show data all 50 states and every demographic that would bear weight on your claims. I expected journalistic integrity from you.

Let's be honest. The bipartisan system is doing us a great injustice in understanding our candidates and what they have to offer the country.

France has the right idea to be patient on backing anything Stephen Miller is pushing. Be patient, the outcome will be better!

France has the right idea here. Sit back and wait for the deal to improve in your favor.

Iraq*

But yeah, we kept the receipts from the 80s, and even provided Hussein with the materials to build chemical weapons, which included the manufacturing of sarin gas.

The U.S. began providing arms and military support to Iraq during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq War under Reagan. When Iraw invaded U.S. oil interests in Kuwait the priority shifted from leave them be, to handle that problem. The second occupation of Iraq was about more oil and extractive resources.

Why does the U.S. control their identity? Their ability to progress as a society? It would seem logical that Iran wants to preserve its' oil reserves for future economic stability - international sea shipping has little hope of steering away from fossil fuels any time soon.

I think it's easy to assume a nation's leaders are nefarious when we're being given biased information that may not be based in complete facts. But when I see the phrase "our identity as people," it changes the perspective a bit. Why is Iran not allowed to be their own developed nation?

It seems MTG doesn't really remember the full history of Iraq - we knew Iraq had WMDs because we gave them to them. We knew what they had because we kept the receipts. In the 1950s, the U.S. helped develop Iran's nuclear program. Through the mid 70s, we provided funding and education. History, man..
