“Small but Mighty Heart”
A vintage, red, toddler’s dress on a black hanger. Over the heart is an actual 3 dimensional heart completely beaded in red glass beads. Around the heart is an aura of white glass beads… dripping from the heart are copious strands of white and red bead. Below that dangles a pair of small, red, canvas children’s shoes. An up shot and close-up of the tennis shoes. They are vintage and well worn. A close up of the beaded heart… anatomically chambered and ventricular… completely covered in red glass beads and surrounded by spikes of white beads in an aura around the heart.

A small girl’s dress from the 1970’s. The dress is brown and the sleeves are cream with patterns of small dots and occasional funky orange flowers. Over the heart of the dress is a very old stuffed snow leopard toy… the left sleeve appears to be holding the leopard. It’s face has been reconstructed with beads and there’s an orange beaded crown in its head. The spotted fur is matted and well loved. From the dress hangs an aged pair of small, off-white canvas shoes. Next to them hangs a snow leopard’s tail that is child-sized. There are also strands of glass beads dripping from the right sleeve as well as the hemline. A closer view of the dress and stuffed snow leopard toy. An even closer view of the leopard’s reconstructed and beaded face with droopy beaded whiskers and orange crown.

“Cat’s Cradle”

A vintage blue, corduroy girl’s dress with a large metal halo surrounding the top half of the dress. The halo is wrapped tightly in pink beads. The dress is connected to the halo by a complex web of strung and intersecting glass beads. This resembles a drunken spiderweb that has completely entangled the upper half of the dress. From the waist down, the beads hang in a more orderly and patterned fashion, resembling lace. From the center of the dress hangs a vintage rubber white and soft pink cat toy. Below that hangs a pair of little pink canvas shoes intensely beaded in a colorful pattern. A closer view of the webbed halo attached to the dress. A bottom view looking up at the small pink Chucks whose tongues are entirely beaded in varying shades of pink and blue.

An elderly woman dressed in an oversized pink coat that looks as though a car ran through an ornament puddle splashing a wave that soaked her in mismatched ornaments. Her arms hang loosely at her sides as she faces the camera knowing her ginormous goggle-sized glasses will save her from any serious harm. Laura Harrier made a stunning entrance at the 2025 Met Gala, showcasing a striking ensemble that celebrated the intersection of men’s fashion and Black dandyism. The actress wore a custom-designed outfit from Gap, Inc., crafted by Zac Posen. Harrier’s outfit, entirely a light cream color, consisted of wide-legged trousers that enveloped her legs all the way to the floor, paired with a cinched-waist vest top and opaque super draped poofy sleeves.

A white ceramic sculpture of a mythological Green Man that I created and installed on the front of a dark gray shed. The face of the Green Man is human-sized and covered in ceramic leaves … he has sheep ears and genuine deer antlers sprouting from his forehead. You cannot see his ears, however, because a very ambitious sparrow has created a massive nest resting between the antlers and the shed wall. The nest measures a good 14 inches wide and gracefully drapes over the sculpture. It’s an impressive addition to the piece and I hope it stays put.
